The North Shore Arts Association is excited for the opportunity to participate in Artists for the Great Marsh project in 2022 by curating and installing an exhibit focused on The Great Marsh: From the Fishermen’s Perspective.
This exhibit offers a first-hand experience of a marshes’ ecosystem from local anglers and artists perspectives. Fishermen/women are usually the first to notice when species are in abundance, declining, absent, or newly present where they were not before. Anglers are the first responders and advocates for the conservation and health of the marshes and our fisheries creating conservation groups like Mass Fish & Wildlife, Stripers Forever, and Keep Fish Wet.
As a community-based art exhibit, The Great Marsh: From the Fisherman’s Perspective, invites North Shore Arts Association’s Juried Artist Members, Associate Members, and the community to engage in diverse ways.
Reception Sunday, June 5th (1-3pm). Open free to the public.
