Join us for this retrospective exhibit to honor Barbara Donnelly’s life and work here on the North Shore. There will be a gallery talk starting at 11AM on June 3, followed by an opening reception from 1-3 PM. All are welcome!

“A new England native, Barbara had a natural love of the seacoast and soaked in all the ocean and beaches provided through all the senses. Wherever she traveled in the world, the water, boats, nearby villages, and the spirits of local people always engaged her. Never one to stick to the ‘beaten path’, she was adventurous in spirit, especially when seeking the perfect spot to set up for a day of ‘plein air’ painting! Barbara understood how to saturate her paintings with the color, light, and the life of any setting and sought to embrace the true essence of the locale; to capture the setting and people ‘en plein air’ was pure pleasure.” Read more about Barbara here.
