See works from NSAA member Lynne LaValley in the Hallway Gallery on view May 26 – June 9. Join us for the artist reception on May 26 from 1 – 3 PM. Open to the public!

Artist Bio:

Lynne has exhibited her work in solo shows in Vermont, Kansas, Maine, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Washington DC. Primary among her themes are coastal views and landscapes of Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts. Notable series include a “Year in Bloom” (365 small paintings of flowers), “Coastal Sunrise”, and “Remembrance – the Pink Chair Project”, a traveling exhibit and book celebrating the memory of Lynne’s mother. Her most recent exhibits “Color in the Wharf” and “At Water’s Edge” show her love for the beauty of the working waterfront and care for those who preserve the wooden ships and work the lobster boats.

In her former career as an art educator she has taught or been an art education administrator in Maryland, Vermont, and Massachusetts. Now a full time artist, Lynne is a member of the North Shore Art Association, The Marblehead Arts Association, the Greater Haverhill Art Association, and the Cape Cod Art Association. She lives in Georgetown, MA where she welcomes visitors to her studio upstairs at the Scala Center, where she is a founding artist.
