Kids’ Plein Air Event with Cape Ann Art Haven
(June 13, 10 AM – 12 PM)
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is a not-a-drop-off event, Parent supervision is required
- 10 AM – Check-In Opens
- 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Plein Air Painting
*Beverages and snacks available during the event
*All supplies provided by Art Haven!
Adult Plein Air Event
(June 13, 10 AM – 3 PM)
EVENT JUROR: Mary Rose O’Connell
- 10:00 AM – Check-In Opens
● All participating artists must check in before painting begins to have their
canvases stamped & pick up a label for your artwork.
● 10 AM – 1:45 PM – Plein Air Painting
● 1:45 – 2:15 PM – Bring your completed artwork ON their easels, labeled, back
to North Shore Arts for judging by artist, Mary Rose O’Connell
● To be considered for judging artwork needs to be presented in a frame, on
your easel.
● Please have your completed stamped and labeled artwork on your easels,
ready for judging by 2:15pm.
● 2:45 PM – Winners Announced in the Main Gallery on the 2nd Floor of North
Shore Arts
● Winners: Please remain near your artwork until your photograph has been taken
by our staff!
● Artists are welcome to sell their artwork directly to customers during the event.
Please note you will be able to bring your work, drop it off, and go to park your car
should the lot be full, with plenty of time to return for the judging
Feel free to paint wherever inspires you in the Gloucester area!
Displays & Entries:
- Artists will only display one painting, completed during the day, no additional
works will be displayed
● We will print out painting labels for you to place on your work for judging
● You can pick up painting labels after NSAA opens at 10:00 AM
● Please bring your easel to the NSAA to display your work for the judging
● Artists will attach their printed label with the name, medium and price of their
work for judging
● Price work to sell (all art sales are 100% to the artist and must go through the
artist)
Parking:
North Shore Arts Association will be your home base, you can park for free in designated parking at NSAA, or on any of the many surrounding side streets in East Gloucester or in the Rocky Neck public parking area. (NOTE: take care not to park so the narrow streets are impassable, and please do not block driveways!)
