Row Selman is best known for her landscapes in which she incorporates the color intensity of the French Impressionists, with the drawing expertise of the 19th century traditionalists. She strives to encompass passion and truth in her landscapes. Her love for painting the vibrant colors of nature have led her to paint some of her favorite subjects—flowering trees and painting anything else that blossoms. She thinks of herself as a tree portrait painter. Row enjoys painting outside in all kinds of weather. Often, she drives across the country to paint landscapes in other locales. She has participated in numerous exhibits, and her work is in private collections throughout the United States.
