As a Juried Artist Member, you have a variety of benefits included in your membership. Listed below are the basics! For a more extensive breakdown of our policies or any additional questions, please reference NSAA’s Exhibition Policy & Regulations.
Juried Artist Members can:
- Exhibit in the Showroom Gallery for the entirety of our open season
- Qualify for all Artist Member exhibits
- Receive a discount on any submission fees that may apply for open call shows, such as NSAA’s annual regional exhibition, Exhibit New England
- Have the opportunity to teach workshops
- Have on-site and off-site solo shows
- Give artist demonstrations
And as a member-led organization, Artist Members can:
- Have a direct impact on the policies that govern our exhibits (through attending the Annual Meeting)
- Participate in Exhibition and New Member Juries
- Serve on the Board of Trustees

As previously stated, Juried Artist Members have many exhibiting opportunities as a part of your membership. Artists can exhibit in the Showroom Gallery all season long, with pieces changing out as they sell, or if you wish to replace your Showroom work with something new.
Juried Artist Members qualify for all Artist Member exhibitions, usually held upstairs in the Main Gallery. These exclusive Artist Member exhibitions are juried opportunities to show your work in our Main Gallery alongside your fellow Juried Artists.
The Prospectus details all of our exhibits for the season and is usually sent out via email by April of every year. The Prospectus can always be found on the NSAA website, on the Exhibition Prospectus page, and the Events Calendar is updated regularly with additional information about shows and special events. Artist Members will regularly receive email reminders about upcoming artwork drop-off and pick-up dates.
North Shore Arts takes a 40% commission on all art sales. 60% of the sale is given to the artist.
Juried Artist Members receive an online profile on our website as a perk of their membership. This allows visitors and buyers the ability to learn more about our artists via our Artist Member Directory.
You will have the option to claim your online profile to add images, a bio, and/or links to your website on your own time. You may add as much or as little information as you desire.
How to claim your profile:
*Please note: you will use your registered email as your username to log in to your Member Profile.*
- On the North Shore Arts Association (NSAA) website, there is a How to Claim Your Profile Video that is beneficial to watch.
- On the NSAA website – Click – MEMBER INFO – MEMBER TOOLS
- Scroll Down and Click – MANAGE YOUR PROFILE
- Search Bar – Type in your name
- Click – On your name when it comes up
- Click – CLAIM THIS LISTING button at the bottom of your Artist Member Profile
- Fill Out Form and SEND
- Your request to claim your Artist Member Profile is sent and an NSAA staff member will approve your request shortly
- After approval, you are welcome to manage and maintain your own Artist Member Profile!
Juried Artist Membership is maintained through the annual payment of membership dues ($150/year). However, for your first year of membership, new Artist Members only need to pay $105, as the application fee paid at the time of applying ($45) is deducted from your first payment.
If your dues go unpaid for more than 3 years, Artist Members may lose their membership status and will need to reapply for Artist Membership in the fall.
North Shore Arts sends out a membership dues invoice every spring by mail. You are welcome to wait until you receive the physical bill, or you are welcome to pay your dues online in the new year. Artist Members cannot exhibit at North Shore Arts until their balance is up-to-date.
