KT Morse earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts in 1976. While an undergraduate, she studied extensively with Carl Schmalz, a protege of Eliot O’Hara, who traveled and painted plein air, writing many books on watercolor. She began painting plein air in 1973 and has continued to work outdoors since that time, as well as in the studio. Her education continued through graduate courses at the Museum of Fine Arts and Mass. College of Art.
She has been painting primarily in oils for the past eight years and has been accepted as an artist member at the Rockport Art Association, North Shore Art Association, the Hudson Valley Art Association, Lyme Art Association, and the National Association of Women Artists. Her paintings reflect strong value and color. She is a master of skies and clouds and has become known for her large skyscapes.
Her love of painting Plein Air continues as she has been selected to participate in many nationally juried events.
