Rocky Forsyth
Rocky Forsyth is a self-taught artist, born and raised in Montana. He began his work life as a cowboy, and grew up loving the natural world of wildlife around him. At forty, he began to develop a passion for carving waterfowl, and, in the past fifteen years, has shown his detailed carvings in various galleries in New England. In recent years, Rocky’s passion has turned to watercolor. Clearly, his intimate understanding of the anatomy of waterfowl, throughout his life, brings a certain aliveness to his birds on paper. While continuing to focus on birds in migration, on hunting and fishing, he also enjoys capturing pastoral farm scenes and seascapes near his homes in Vermont and Rockport, MA.
