Rosalie Sidoti
“I am fortunate to live on Cape Ann where the light is magical and like no other place. My inspiration is endless and the possibilities are boundless. For years, I painted exclusively plein air and the knowledge I gleaned from that process proved invaluable. I studied the clouds, the open sky day and night and under all kinds of weather conditions. At dusk especially, I saw what happened to the light when it filtered and splattered itself through the trees and across the landscape. It continues to take my breath away.”
Rosalie Sidoti is a national award-winning artist and holds MA and BFA degrees in visual arts. Rosalie is a university supervisor, juror, lecturer and instructor for various art organizations in the northeast. “I believe in the importance of teaching, mentoring and continuous learning. With that, I have dedicated myself to share my artistic knowledge and personal creative journey with the students I have the privileged to teach at Tufts University, Graduate School of Art Education and at the various workshops I instruct.”
