“This recent series of monochromatic landscape drawings are created from both direct observations and with the aid of photographs taken throughout the years. Each graphite line is slowly and meticulously drawn on the work surface until the final image emerges. Though time consuming and labor-intensive, the process provides a balance of structure and chaos that is fulfilling to me. I liken the process to weaving. The sources of inspiration are derived from places I’ve been, and the places I want to be. These references points help me to make connections across reality and imagination.” – Sand T Kalloch

Sand T Kalloch maintains a studio in Malden, Massachusetts. Her artistic output comes in the forms of landscape drawings, works on paper, mixed media paintings and low relief. A graduate from Tufts University and the Boston Museum School with a Master of Fine Arts, Sand T has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants for her work in the visual arts. Her exhibition history is extensive in numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as scores of national and international art fairs. Sand T’s artwork resides in public and private art collections worldwide.
