Join us in creating an art auction event for Sawyer Free Library with all proceeds raised contributing to the building restoration. We are just over halfway to our $29M goal! The Sawyer Free Library has been a cornerstone of our community for decades, providing invaluable resources, educational programs, and cultural enrichment to people of all ages. Now, we are embarking on an exciting journey to transform our beloved library into a state-of-art facility that will better serve you and future generations.

Call for Artists! Live Art Auction

We are excited to announce the Sawyer Free Library Live Auction to benefit the Sawyer Free 2025 Capital Campaign. It’s open to all and great opportunity to exhibit and sell your work. We look forward to your participation. Please see below or click here for submission details.

Exhibition Dates: Wednesday September 18th – Thursday September 19th

Live Auction: Thursday September 19th at 7:00 p.m.

Where: North Shore Arts Association, Second Floor

Important Details: This is a juried show and 50 pieces of art will be accepted for the event.

How It Works

Our jury will convene to select the artworks to be accepted for the auction from your online registration. Your work will be presented to the jury anonymously as to judge them solely on the merit of your work.

Artist will be notified of acceptance on September 11th, via email or call.

  • Artwork Drop-Off: Thursday, September 17th, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Pick-Up: Tuesday September 20th, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Number of Works Submitted: 2 artworks per artist
  • Required Dimensions: Maximum frame size 18″ X 22″ inches or smaller Minimum Starting Bid: $150 and will go up by minimum increments of $25 Artwork Price: Price artwork as normal for the option for someone to buy it outright

Commission is 50% to the artist and 50% will be retained by SFL for all works sold. Please consider larger donations (50%, 75% or 100%} for this fundraiser, and all proceeds go to the SawyerFree2025 Capital Campaign.
